2Many bugs and poorly optimized. Combat seems a bit floaty. There's not much of a community, either. Some pay2win aspects.
Setting the flaws aside, there's an interesting story and lore, with a detailed setting, and quests that are tied to the lore and story -- even if many are fetch quests. There's a variety of skills to acquire as well as a variety of crafting branches. The combat requires aiming, making it more skill-based than the typical tab-target MMO.
When assessing MMOs, I place them into a few tiers. Tier 1 MMOs are the best of the best -- the ones that I'm likely to spend a lot of time maxing out characters and completing all of the quests in (i.e. Asheron's Call, Star Wars Galaxies, Ultima Online, Darkfall). Tier 2 MMOs are MMOs that I really enjoy, but given time restraints, only play on a sporadic basis. Tier 3 MMOs are MMOs where I enjoy one aspect but there are too many areas I dislike for me to continue. Tier 4 MMOs are the ones that I don't play OR only play for review / professonal purposes.
This is a Tier 2 MMO. It's solid and has a lot of unrealized potential. I recommend it conditionally -- the population is low, so socializing will be sparse.
