El Shaddai: Chapter 00
3Welcome to El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.
This was originally intended to be my first Gameplay/Commentary but the sound of my recording wasn't cooperating so instead it will be a playthrough of the whole game. Let me start by saying I first heard of this game while watching E3 and it caught my attention. I proceeded to download the demo and tried it out to see how it felt. After that I wanted to buy it and here we are today.
Now some of you may not have even heard about this game or know what it's about. Let me start by saying this game is based on the Book of Enoch in the Bible. The story goes that the Watchers or Grigori were sent from Heaven to watch humans and eventually decided to stay and live life there. They have "Fallen" and God was intending on sending a flood to wipe everyone out but got interjected and Enoch was sent to bring the Angels back to Heaven.
This game is the first one primarily based in Jewish/Christian lore instead of the more popular ones and it is seen throughout the game. The game is very colorful and the graphics give you a unique feel to it.
For Chapter 0 it is basically the introduction video. You can see me start the game up officially and go through the story of getting a weapon, purification, and running into a Watcher battle. You are introduced to the Archangels and the man that guides you through the game as your save point.
