Elden Ring Playthrough Part 87 1440p Max Settings
Elden Ring is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game was made in collaboration with fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin, who provided material for the game's setting. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.
I have always been a massive fan of Fromsoftware's games from Armored Core to Dark Souls, Bloodborne being my favourite. If you have any experience with Fromsoftware's other games then you know what to expect from Elden Ring. Although I would say that Elden ring is potentially more accessible as being open world you can explore to find more powerful gear and level up before facing the many dungeons and bosses. But Elden ring definitely has the difficulty that the Soulsborne games are known for and still provides the same rewards from defeating difficult enemies.
Gameplay is excellent and responsive as always and now feels more expansive with the new weapons and mechanics added to the combat. Elden ring definitely feels like a culmination of everything learned from other Fromsoftware games and a spiritual successor to Dark Souls.
This will mainly be a blind playthrough but these first few parts I am roughly following various guides to show you a way to get some good items and levels at the start of the game (Credit to both Boomstick Gaming and VaatiVidya for the guides) but also including NPC's i have been able to find along the way. I can't wait to see what the mid and late game has to offer and what crazy enemies and areas there are to discover.
The only issue I have had so far is small dips in performance, the game tends to hold a pretty solid 60 fps but can dip and stutter occasionally and frame pacing can be a bit irregular making the game look like it is stuttering even at 60 fps. But the game is by no means unplayable and the fps seems to remain stable in combat where it is most important. Hopefully with subsequent patches/updates the performance will be improved further and be made more stable.
I cant wait to finish this game and I hope you enjoy the journey with me, if you do please like and subscribe for more.
