Elden Ring Rogue Assassin Stealth/Critical Build PVE/PVP Gameplay
This is the stealth build i've been using for both PVE & PVP. It's very strong for PVE, but fairly underpowered for PVP, i generally like to sneak around and stalk players for the backstab. No need to use the exact weapons i'm using, but the Misericorde and Buckler are must haves imo, anything else is down to preference. It doesn't seem like the Seal needs to be upgraded unless you use an incantation that does damage, i didn't bother upgrading buckler either as i don't use it to block. If you want to go for a straight crit build, ignore the stealth skill Assassin's Gambit and chuck Flame of the Redmanes on your dagger. The aim is to break enemies stance and open them up for a critical. Flame of the Redmanes seems best for this (2-3 hits to break stance), but Spectral Lance (3-4 hits) can be great against bigger enemies that you want to keep at distance. If you discover any other moves good for breaking stance let me know!
I'm keeping it lowish here (Lvl 65) for some stealth invading, but you can go as high as you like, put your points into whatever gives you damage from your weapon and Vigor, Mind Endurance as you see fit. If you use a bow often stamina will help greatly. Here's what i'm using at 125:
Build at 125. I started as Wretch, but Prophet seems like best starting class in this case:
Vig 50 - To survive heavy hitting later bosses
Mind 28 - For Ashes of War/Spell use
End 20 - 20 is enough for melee, but Go higher if want to use a bow more
Str 15 - For 2handing Blasphemous Blade - 16 to use Pulley Xbow
Dex 15 - 12 for Partisan Spear 15 for Blasphemous Blade - 16 to use Pulley Xbow
Int 10 - Base/Go 16 Int if you want to use Unseen Form
Fth 50 - For damage with Flame Art upgrade path
Arc 16 - For Swarm of Flies/Dragon Breath spells
