I have some bad issues with the Elgato at the moment :(
I pretty much prattled on in the video, not making much sense.. but basically, over the past few days, the Elgato has continued to corrupt every video I recorded, whether it be the audio or video.
If it's the video, you can see the heavy corruption it creates (watch the last few parts of my Riptide playthrough) and the commentary file, created with Audacity, is no longer synced up with the video.
If it's the audio, it's because I'm using the built-in Live Commentary feature. The video seems to remain OK, but the audio becomes choppy, until the audio disappears completely closer to the end of the video.
So far... with either audio AND video becoming corrupt, I can't record anything. I will be buying a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro in the next few weeks. I know it cant do Live Commentary... for some reason.. but that's a small price to pay for a product that actually works.
I have recorded 4 videos since Saturday, and of those, I had to delete two, I managed to 'fix' one and the other was uploaded without any repair. As I can't record videos with a faulty piece of kit, I don't know how many videos will be uploaded between now and when I get the Roxio.
