It is possible to travel constantly at the max boost speed your ship allows in beta 2.

In beta 1 top speed could be achieved by disabling Flight Assist just after boost.

In beta 2 you can not do this but you can maintain speed by switching off your thrusters a second or two after boost. So long as you don't engage maximum throttle whilst the thrusters are off you will not bleed any speed.

This is obviously more limited but has applications in getting to a station quicker, escaping in a straight line as fast as possible or closing the distance with a faster enemy.
