The Emmy Awards are back in full-swing this year, with a star-studded evening of laughs (courtesy of SNL funny man and Millennial icon Kenan Thompson) and stunning dresses. After last week's impressive slate of winners during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards last week, which saw streaming shows (particularly from HBO Max) leading the way, there were no surprises to see the streamers reigning supreme this week as well.

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards delivered big wins to several fan-favorite series including Ted Lasso and The White Lotus, as well as Abbott Elementary and Squid Game. And it also delivered some major historic wins for Lee Jung-Jae, Quinta Brunson, Zendaya, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. With The White Lotus sweeping up wins, HBO/HBO Max yet again topped the night with a grand total of 38 Emmys (beating last year's 19 wins). While Warner Bros. and the streaming platform remain in flux, the accolades they garner are proof that their current program slate is working for their audience. The White Lotus and Euphoria brought home the most Emmys, with 10 and 6 awards, respectively, but Netflix's Squid Game was close on their heels with 6 awards. With a number of streamers and channels under their umbrella, The Walt Disney Company brought home 26 Emmys between last week's Creative Arts Emmy Awards and tonight's festivities.
