In this short video I will show you how to create a planet with an emoji in Procreate. You might have seen people do this on TikTok, now you can do it too and follow the TikTok planet trend.

In this short Procreate tutorial we'll do the following to create this TikTok planet trend:
✔ Draw a circle and fill it (TIP: use a nice color!)
✔ Go to the wrench, then to Add and then to Add Text
✔ Pick an emoji and make it nice and big to cover the circle
✔ Tap the layer with the emoji and pick rasterise, tap it again and pick clipping mask
✔ Go to Adjustments and pick Liquify, use Crystals and Swirl to create a nice effect, I had distortion and momentum both set to 50%
✔ Merge the swirly layer with the circle layer and then add a new layer on top
✔ Set the new layer to clipping mask and set the layer blending mode to multiply (tap the little N next to the layer name)
✔ Use the soft brush set to a dark color to add a shadow to the planet and use Gaussian Blur to soften it if needed
✔ Make a new layer on top, set it to clipping mask and set the layer blending mode to screen
✔ Grab a light blue color and use the soft brush to add light to the planet
✔ Duplicate the bottom planet layer, pick the bottom one and turn on Alpha Lock
✔ Make sure you have a light blue color and then tap the layer and pick Fill Layer
✔ Turn off Alpha Lock, go to the Adjustments menu and pick Gaussian Blur
✔ Slide to the right on your screen to get a nice blur
✔ Tap the layer with the blurry blue planet and pick Mask
✔ Grab black and use the soft brush to erase a part of the glow
Now you'll never wonder how to create an emoji planet in Procreate again!
