Empyrion 2022. Playthrough - update v1.8. Ep.12 - Setting up a Teleporter.
14Guide on how to place a teleporter efficiently so that (1) it doesn't blow up your generators and (2) only drains power for the short period of time that you step inside it and select a destination. Its something I had difficulty figuring out, both initially and also when returning to the game after a break where it took a little while to remember. (So the vid is also for my own benefit so that when I return to the game after further updates and have forgotten how to do it again I can use this to refresh my memory).
Note 1. Prior to 1.8 overloading the generators would quickly result in them exploding. In tests, this did NOT happen in 1.8, even though the generators continue to say they will explode when overloading. Don't know if this is a bug, by design, or if it takes much longer for the generators to blow than previously.
Note 2. I also noticed that if placing a CPU extension to increase the CPU capacity to 200k, and then deleting the CPU extender, that the CPU capacity stayed at the higher level of 200k even though the CPU extender removed. Don't know again if this is a bug or if it reverts back on something like logging out then back in again.
