Emulation Issues // Let's Play Armored Core V - Part 0
3Getting Armored Core V to run on emulator on PC is a pain. I got through it but it was quite a journey. This is what worked for me in the end:
1. Use modified Xenia Canary experimental v. 3dcbd25e7 (Dec. 15 2022!)
(get it here - https://github.com/xenia-project/game-compatibility/files/10428813/xenia_canary.zip)
with changed settings:
max_queued_frames = 5
d3d12_readback_resolve = true (false runs way smoother but all ACs will be black)
protect_zero = false
vsync = false
2. Play until you get to the point right before you enter your Team name (at the end of Tutorial mission).
3. Using RivaTuner Statistics Server limit Xenia's framerate to 5(!) or lower.
4. Enter your Team name.
5. Unlock framerate again.
Armored Core V is the first game of the (so far) latest generation of Armored Core games. Its focus on the multiplayer system is something we're sadly not going to delve into due to the restraints of Xenia.

I'm playing Armored Core V on PC via Xenia using a self-made backup save of a disk I own. (I had to buy an extra Xbox360 copy since RPCS3 doesn't work for this, so 5 euros for the bluray down the drain)

Online players can invade your Territory even when you're not online. Set Your Defense System strategically to fight automatically against other players and protect your dependency.
When you're online, fight in PvP online team battles to defend against enemies invading your territories.
Most complete Multiplayer Mode: The game supports cooperative mode on all missions such as “Destroying a Target" or "Investigation". Team gameplay is encouraged (5 simultaneously with up to 20 in a team). In World Mode, confront each other for world domination.
Offensive gameplay: Gameplay has been totally revamped to offer a more powerful offensive attacking experience.
