Enable Emergency Bypass On iPhone - Steps How To
Enabling emergency bypass on iPhone can be very useful if you want to turn off all calls and contacts (silent feature) that pop up (vibrate or ringing a bell) on your lock screen except a few of them. In this tutorial, we will show how to enable emergency bypass exceptions in iPhone.
There's nothing more frustrating than missing an essential call or text because your iPhone was set to Do Not Disturb or the Mute option was turned on. If there are specific individuals whose calls and messages you constantly want to break through the cone of silence—a spouse, parent, or child—iOS provides a solution: Emergency Bypass. When Emergency Bypass is activated for a specific contact's ringtone or text tone, the sound and vibration will continue regardless of the Do Not Disturb or Mute switch status.
To activate Emergency Bypass, go to the Phone or Contacts app, edit the person's contact card, press Ringtone, and select Emergency Bypass. In the Ringtone settings, you may enable Emergency Bypass for calls, and in the Text Tone settings, you can enable it for messages. Remember that you may always set someone's tone to None and enable a vibration instead of allowing a call to interrupt a movie, play, or concert by using Emergency Bypass.
Why use Emergency Bypass on iPhone?
If you're about to watch a movie and don't want your iPhone to keep interrupting you with useless updates, you can put it off. You do, however, want to be able to receive potentially crucial calls and texts, such as those from an elderly relative. Perhaps you're out for the evening and don't want to be distracted by your phone... until the babysitter is calling.
