Enable Fading Effects & Transitions in iOS 9, iOS 8, and iOS 7

You can now enable optional fading effects and transitions, this replaces the zooming effects that are the defaults of iOS 7, iOS 8, and iOS 9. This video demonstrates enabling the fade effects and shows the difference between the default "Zoom" effects and the new "Fade" transition effects.

This option requires iOS 7.0.3 or later to enable. The option does not exist in prior versions of iOS, but all versions onward do have the Reduce Motion capability. It also appears to speed up the iOS experience a bit.
