Back in July 2017 an new console from Atari Company called the Atari VCS is coming out in 2019 with preorders going on we speak. It's been a while since another console have dip their toe into this console pool full big battleships like Nintendo, Sony Microsoft... remember Ouya?  
 
So this made me think! It seem that we the gamers have seen a lot of consoles come and go in the 90s (or for the new generation the golden console era) but no matter what happen only at max 3 consoles end up  remaining in the spotlight. So here my two questions
 
1. How come these console contenders don't last long in console war from early 90s to now?
 
2. Do we gamers really want more console options to choose from or is 3 consoles enough?
