You play as Low and Alone, best friends ever since they found each other in this lonely nightmare. They each possess their own iconic item: a bow for Low and a wrench for Alone. Working together, they’ve become adept at sneaking through hidden passages, hoisting each other over massive obstacles, and watching each other’s backs. Whether you’re playing with a friend or an AI. companion, you’ll depend on each other's iconic items to create opportunities and to progress. The environment is full of clues and possibilities for imaginative children to exploit. Low’s arrows can reach high targets, cut through ropes, or down flying enemies, and Alone’s wrench is just the thing for crushing stunned enemies, smashing through barriers, or manipulating the workings of massive machines.
Little Nightmares III is an upcoming puzzle-platform horror adventure video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It follows the first two Little Nightmares games. The game follows two new child protagonists, Low and Alone, as they navigate through The Nowhere and escape from a looming threat.[3] It is scheduled to release on 10 October 2025.
Premise
The game follows two new characters, Low and Alone, journeying through "the Nowhere", a desolate and nightmarish realm that can only be accessed through sleeping. A variety of locations are shown in the trailers for the game. There are many hostile beings that reside in the Nowhere and often attempt to capture, harm, or kill the protagonists. Low and Alone aim to escape the realm.
Gameplay
Like its predecessors, the player explores a 3D world, encountering platforming situations and puzzles that must be solved to proceed. Unlike the first two games, the player can now go solo alongside an AI companion or with another player in online co-op.[5] The two main characters have different gameplay mechanics, with Low wielding his bow and arrow, and Alone using her wrench.
