ENDING REACTION NEED FOR SPEED HEAT COMPLETING THE CAMPAIGN STORY MODE - FINAL MISSION LET'S PLAY!
In this video, I complete the last story / campaign mission in Need for Speed: Heat which is titled Breaking The Law. Watch my reaction to the NFS Heat ending. Did you react the same way?
This final mission was intense - with us being on max heat level 5 and having to repair our car multiple times. It was absolutely delightful being able to race with The League at the start but they weren't able to keep up. It would have been more enjoyable if all of us were able to keep up with each other as the cop cars were coming.
And then Lt. Mercer tries to escape once we exposed his operations. To end this sequence of the final mission and see the ending cutscene, you have to take out Mercer. Beware because he takes some really unusual pathing, even going as far as into the backyard of a house. After taking out Mercer's car, Eva Torres shows up.
Overall, there was definitely foreshadowing in terms of the ending. We were given bits and pieces of clues and information throughout the campaign playthrough to put the pieces together. Eva Torres had an agenda and hidden motive all along. After Mercer is gone, she became the new head of the high speed task force.
Ana and Lucas' relationship is great again. Well - as great as sibling relationships can be. We're also now in The League - something we've coveted since the very start. We're now a legend on the streets of Palm City!
This is what I'd call an endgame for a racing game anyway. We can still max out our rep at lvl 50, take all the cars to max performance, and find all the remaining collectibles, challenges, and secrets.
I'll be honest my review of the game is that it's great. Short and sweet campaign mode, though I didn't like the fact that you had to get enough rep to unlock the campaign missions despite the fact that you probably already have a way better car than the recommended performance.
