I tried to get the two families to agree to a truce, but Ezzali Bardatto would not hear of it. It was to be blood no matter what. Unfortunately, Pallegina left in disgust, but there was little that I could do. I believed that killing the head of the Velera family to be much less bloody than letting the two families go at each other.
