Engine Trouble on the Maid - Fixing Overheating
1Hey peoples, we have been waiting for some nice weather and after weeks of rain we are getting 2 cold days of sun so decided to go to the marina and do a bit of our to do list on board. I managed to fix our engine overheating problem we have been getting at low load and we made a good start on scrubbing out the bilges unfortunately we ran out of cleaning supplies there was just so much years of grease build up but we did id say 1/4 of the bilges, the stern bilge is still very much full of grease but its an awkward place to clean as its below the prop shaft so will leave for another day.
If anyone knows what the device in the video is please let me know. I was thinking it could be something along the lines of an above waterline anti-flood mod for example if the sea cock goes it wont sink the yacht. But what stumps me is that if it is this then why is it installed at the end of the system and not the beginning.
