Warface is a free-to-play online first-person shooter developed by Crytek Kiev and co-produced by Crytek Seoul, with Crytek UK developing the Xbox 360 port. The game was developed with Crytek's CryEngine 3. The Xbox 360 port was discontinued on 1 February 2015. Gameplay: Players can choose among four different classes to play, Sniper, Rifleman, Engineer, or Medic & each class has their own role in the game: Medics revive fallen teammates, Engineers restore and repair armor, Riflemen provide extra ammo, whilst Snipers are the long-range experts -- practically the only class capable of delivering one-shots to the body at any range longer than point blank. Each of these abilities requires skills that require mastering to emerge victorious in a match. Each class comes with its distinctive weapons as well, often split into two categories. Riflemen choose between a variety of assault rifles and light machine guns, Snipers face the same choice between bolt action and semi-automatic marksman and sniper rifles, Medics have automatic and pump action shotguns whereas the Engineers use submachine guns and personal defence weapons. In other words, each class has two main branches and all weapons compete against one another within and with the opposite branch. As a rule of thumb, one branch is more suited for PvP, whereas the other one is suited to PvE. Apart from that, each class can carry a secondary firearm (a broad selection of striker- and hammer-fired pistols, revolvers) and a melee weapon (ranging from combat knives to katanas, axes, and even a sapper shovel). Each soldier's toolbelt is supplied with a hand grenade (given once per spawn), and can be also modified / expanded with extra smoke / stun grenades. Some classes can carry anti-personnel (non-directional) mines. Weapons have customization slots (or attachment slots) that can be used to outfit a firearm with scopes, bipods or handles, flashguards or suppressors. Players compete against one another in PvP matches (Quickplay and Ranked Matches) or combine efforts against AI enemies in PvE (co-op and Special Operations). As players complete these matches and missions, they earn experience points (XP), Warface Dollars ($), and vendor points (VP); the amount earned varies depending on the number of players, mission played (its duration, amount of checkpoints and so on, to prevent or reduce potential boosting among players). Warface Dollars can be used to rent weapons, purchase armour and other items, Experience Points let each player increase their personal Rank (level) in the game, while the Vendor Points are used to progress through the Arsenal tree (in-game progression items split into three categories: Weapons, Attachments, Equipment). VIP Booster packs are available for sale in the in-game store, allowing the player to earn additional XP, WF$ and VP after a match. Another in-game currency is Kredits, a premium currency that allows the purchase of the VIP Booster packs, player body skins, bundles and more.
The game can be played via Steam, which enables the player to also purchase various DLC bundles consisting of exclusive skins and gear.

In Player vs. Player mode, there are a few game modes that are currently available for players to experience in-game. Each game mode is unique to a certain pool of maps for which the mode is played. Team Deathmatch this is the classic two-team fight to the death where there are two teams pitted against eachother on a timer to see which team comes out on top: Warface or Blackwood. The team that reaches 150 points first wins. There is a time limit of 10 minutes and if the time runs out, the team with most points wins. A point is added to a team's score each time a player from the enemy team respawns. If they are resurrected by a defibrillator, no points are added.
