75Enjoy Zoe C.'s interview with Paula Garces. Ms. Garces is currently on Netflix’s hit series On My Block. Ms. Garces is also well known for her role as Maria in the hit film Harold and Kumar. She is the co-creator of the Aluna character and “The World of Aluna.” Aluna will be the first female Latina superhero on a video game. She created this comic in response to the under representation of both Latin and female superheroes in the entertainment industry. Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards video game follows the exploits of Aluna, the warrior daughter of Spanish conquistador and South American nature goddess Pachamama. Aluna is a comic book, video game, and soon film and TV show.
