126Enjoy Zoë C.'s interview with Che Spiotta from MasterChef Jr. Che Spiotta is the winner of Season 7 MasterChef Junior (FOX) and guest judge of the current 8th season.
Che Theo Spiotta was born in New York City. Che's love and passion for culinary began at the age of three when he used to watch his father cook authentic Italian meals and classic Italian dishes at his Brooklyn home. As a young child, Che watched shows on The Food Network, studied cookbooks, and practiced various recipes, experimenting by putting his own unique, gluten-free twists, and sharpening his knife skills.
During November and December 2017, Che auditioned in New York City to compete for MasterChef’s 7th season, originally filmed and taped from in 2018. It aired in 2019 with over 10,000 youngsters applying for a spot in the Top 24. Che stood out and flourished among fierce competition after initially starting out on the bottom as a weak underdog, eventually winning the competition. Since his victory, Che has guest starred on morning TV shows (Live with Kelly and Ryan), attended and partaken at Camp MasterChef and traveled to schools, public events and culinary projects across the US as a motivational guest speaker, Private Chef and brand ambassador to raise awareness about gluten-free foods and to inspire youngsters like himself to never let your food allergy hold you back from your love, passion and dream of pursuing culinary arts. Che plans to open a restaurant in the future and host his own cooking show on the Food Network one day.
