Enthusia - Autumn Hill | AetherSX2 (android) | Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 | Adreno 740 | 8GB Ram
Gameplay: 00:00 | Replay: 02:28 | Deinterlacing patch is working now and gameplay's crystal clear with no nasty ghosting effects in sight.
Enthusia was meant to rival Gran Turismo 4, and it did in a way. It had the physics many times over and the AI to make the whole racing thing feel all the more enthusiastic. But unfortunately it never really took off and kinda failed to sell well.
It's a great game on its own, doesn't have as much content as its nemesis, but what it had, it had it in terms of much quality and style. The whole take on the career is a tab little bit more focused on leading the player through a set path and less on the freedom, to a certain extent, allowed by Polyphonie's game.
Visually, it was monstrous! Barely if at all edged out by its one and only competitor in the console. Vehicle models were just as detailed, stages looked absolutely stunning, more artistic maybe, but less hyper-real in terms of colour.
Night driving in Marco Strata doesn't have the dynamic shadows as seen in Special Stage Route 5, but it's got rain and a wet pavement full of beautiful reflections and materials simulated through the clever use of environment maps.
Reflections aren't emulated yet, but they were there on real hardware and they were decent enough.
