Highlander: The Series follows Duncan MacLeod, cousin of Connor from the movies, as Duncan deals with a world where immortals cut each other’s heads off for a shot at winning the so-called Game and winning an elusive prize that no one fully understands. You win only if you are the last man standing and that’s the gist. The films, especially the second, tend to wander into nonsense, but the series managed to keep its boots on the ground and that’s why the series is still watched by people like you and I. The writers took the premise seriously, and built a rotating cast of flawed, but memorable characters. Every other week, Duncan faced the cost of living forever.
