Ever since “Murderbot” premiered on Apple TV+ on May 16, 2025, the sci-fi thriller has garnered a curious fan base in a remarkably short time. Based on “The Murderbot Diaries" by American author Martha Wells, the series features a team of scientists accompanied by a security robot as they explore a hostile environment filled with unknown creatures. Things take an unusual turn when the titular character, the malfunctioning security robot, breaks the reins of predestination and starts exercising free will.
