Today StevieB ends his run in the mini-mayhem event and talks with us about the factors that led him to participate at all. This is likely the worst event Mindark has ever thrown together.

We look at how Codex, The Cave Progression Mission, Mayhem Tokens and other factors played a roll. Without all of the factors present the event would not have been worth doing.

A massive factor was the ownership of a large number of Crystal Palace Shares. CP shares have historically paid out 0.01 to 0.02 PED per week. Because of the event they paid out 0.32 PED! While this is great for everyone who owns CP shares it also made it easier for CP share owners to participate as they essentially received a rebate on their losses due to the area being a taxed land area.

While mini mayhem was ongoing someone looted a pair of Supremacy Foot Guards UL which hasn't happened in years. That makes this lucky avatar the real winner of mini-mayhem and we wish them luck in selling these super valuable foots!

The biggest issue with this event is what came before it. Mindark couldn't care enough about customers spending real cash in their real cash economy game to actually announce that summer mayhem was cancelled nor did they give us a reason.

Instead they threw together an event that wasn't an event thinking it would make everyone happy. It did not.

Yes the game needs an upgrade and the Unreal Engine 5 would be a huge step in that direction. But customer service or even caring if you have customers is not something you program. It's a way you do business.
