YAY! I'm super happy there's finally a new game in the Epic Battle Fantasy series! Matt Roszak (Kupo Games, along with Phyrnna providing an awesome backing soundtrack) have always made silly, irreverent, yet fun RPGs (and even some bullet hell games) that parody the style of the games that inspire them. No wonder he has an incredibly huge cult following!
Although not chronologically following EBF4, this game retains the same style of silly dialogue and total hilarity, as well as a rich equipment upgrade system, character spec system, elemental weakness system, among others. As always the art style is fantastic and kawaii, and...hey now, stop looking at Natalie's boobs!
There are a few little QoL changes I feel that can be implemented like giving an indicator when items can be upgraded in the forge and skills be purchased, among others, and it's locked to 30 FPS because of Flash (a bit surprising since Bullet Heaven 2 ran at 60, but what do I know), but otherwise I'm supremely happy with the time I spent playing this. I want more.
