Rise of the Triad runs under an improved Wolfenstein 3D engine, and has a lot of fast-paced gameplay and is just awesomely silly with its ludicrous gibs. As a member of the HUNT — High-risk United Nations Task-force — your job is to infiltrate a fortified base on San Nicholas Island, where a deadly cult is planning to systematically destroy nearby Los Angeles.
A 2013 remake of Rise of the Triad has been released by Interceptor Entertainment.
