Erin Andrews is going through hell and back while on trial against the JW Marriott hotel chain after an incident in 2009 where a man leaked naked pictures of the sports reporter. Andrews was staying at the hotel adjacent to a man who used a peephole to photograph Andrews. The JW Marriott’s defense claims that naked pictures helped Andrews in her career, citing future sponsorships with the likes of popular brands like Reebok. In addition to the ethnically skewed defense, ESPN forced Andrews into doing a sit down interview to clear the air on the incident, stating that if she didn’t comply, they would not put her back on the air.
“Andrews, then working for ESPN, was in Nashville for a Vanderbilt football game in 2008 when, using a peephole camera, Barrett recorded the videos and put them on the Internet. Barrett pleaded guilty to felony stalking in 2009 and was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Andrews alleges that the hotel divulged her room information to Barrett and gave him a room next to hers.”
