Error 0x80070005: Access is Denied- Windows Could Not Start the Windows Audio Service
Steps to fix Error: Windows Could Not Start the Windows Audio Service on Local Computer, Error 0x80070005: Access is Denied.
For any reason if the audio driver is lost and there is no sound, please visit system manufacturer website and install the Audio driver.
Additional troubleshooting steps:
1) Perform System Restore
Restoring your PC to a previous restore point may fix Audio issue. It will undo all the recent changes made to the PC which may be the root cause of the error.
System restore will not delete with your personal files however, you will lose all the apps and updates that were installed after the restore point.
Write "System Restore" in Windows search box and open "Create a restore point"
Go to "System Protection" click on "System restore"
Select "recommended restore" or "Choose a different restore point". Select a date which you think is related to the app, driver or update which has caused the Audio issue and then click on "next". Select the restore point created before the Audio issue.
Choose the date and click on "Next"
Confirm your restore point and click on Finish.
It may take some time to complete the process.
2) Reset Windows
Press Windows + I to open Windows 10 Settings
Go to Update & Security
Select Recovery
Under Reset this PC, click on "Get Started" to reset Windows 10.
Note- backup your data before reset as you will lose data during reset process.
