I planned to work on this project quite a while now. And now I finally can give you a proper introduction to what "Essence of Games" actually is.

What you saw is just a test design and animation for a small youtube-show about game design, digital art, video games as well as traditional games, roleplaying games, storytelling and game theory. EOG will take a look inside the core elements of every game to find the "essence" and to find ways how to make a game to a good game - and how to make a good game into an excellent one. We also take a peek through the artistic side of every game from character design, story elements, overall theme, lighting, style etc. And we take a closer look at how to scientifically analyse games properly.

I will be the narrator and artist behind all those scenes and I will guide you with nice pixel arts through various scenes, games and crazy situations with a bit of comedy and useful information to learn from.
