Ethan Zuckerman, Keynote Speaker for the 2013 Digital Media and Learning Conference, explains his take on a contemporary definition of "civics."

(5:15) "I'm not sure that we're necessarily teaching civics all that well. And, in many cases, I think the people who are teaching us civics or teaching us this new civics are activists who are trying to figure out how to use these tools in different and effective ways."
