Ethereal Enigma (Demo)

Pixel Fade's newest visual novel is seeking funding, and it is up to you to decide if you want to take part. I'll show you part of the demo here (not the whole thing), so if you want to see what more is offered, you'll have to check it out yourself.
The premise is that you're playing as a high school freshman, and you end up bringing a princess from a foreign fantasy world into yours, and you need to help her find her way back. The princess is romance-able as is your confidant who knows what all transpired.
Now, the voices did not record as loud as I thought they did, but luckily you can still hear them most of the time. Kira being so soft spoken may get lost here and there sadly. When the game enters early access, I'll make sure to mess with the settings so that she comes across a little more clearly.
As for my thoughts, I go into a little detail near the end, but I still stand by my comment that this is the weakest entry to date. Being the third project (not counting After Story), we can see a pattern begin to emerge in their games, which I do not believe to be a good sign. The art still has the rough spots of the characters hanging their arms at their sides more often than not, which after allowing in Crystalline and After Story, is not something that can be excused at this point. Luckily, there is still time for this to be adjusted. I am not a fan of the princess's default costume, as I try to drop in a few comments here and there expressing my displeasure...
Finally, this setting is so overused in visual novels, that I cannot say I'm entirely optimistic on what to expect. Best case scenario, there is something later on that may make the setting important, but I am concerned that this is something that is going to hinder the final project. The previous games always had something fantastical about them to stand apart from the competition, such as the mech battles or the pseudo-RPG setting. Since this one does not offer that, I am wondering if it is going to fail to set itself apart from the competition.
So as you can see, there are a lot of pitfalls that I am hoping the game can navigate away from, and due to how Ace Academy and Crystalline turned out, I am going to give the devs a shot here too. However, I will be setting my expectations a little lower here.
Now, for the big question: When this enters early access, do I pursue Kira or Erilynn?
