A new project! EthnoVR, a VR Folk Rhythm Dance Game Demo. Testing soundtrack is "Kesik Çayır" from great Turkish baglama musician, "Plectrum of the Steppe" Neşet Ertaş.

Explanation:

Acm: I present to your appreciation the demo of the ethno-vr rhythm game, which I have been thinking about and working on for a long time, but could not take the time to demo. While the moving visuals behind are created with frequency analysis, the objects on the player are produced according to the midi file. The midi file is read in real time and the visual is produced according to the note (the tin sound heard in the background is the midi that I wrote myself). I'm not sure if the visuals are still in the concept stage for the game, whether it's pre alpha or beta, but I'm thinking of designing it as a folklore based entertainment game when I have some opportunities. For example, earning points by imitating the dance moves of a robot in the game. I tried the interaction between real places and VR by using real VR Ankara locations that I shot with Insta360 for testing purposes. It gives an idea of ​​combining real shooting and VR. I made the spoon hitting and spoon stealing function with great enthusiasm, but unfortunately HTC Vive's response time (it should be 100-120 ms) was not enough for this function to work properly, so it remained that way.

Acm: Uzun zamandır düşünüp üzerine zaman zaman çalıştığım ancak zaman ayırıp demosunu gerçekleştiremediğim etno-vr ritm oyunun demosunu takdirlerinize sunarım. Frekans analizi ile arkadaki hareketli görseller oluşurken oyuncunun üzerine gelen objeler midi dosyasına göre üretiliyor. Midi dosyası gerçek zamanlı olarak okunup notaya göre görsel üretiliyor(arkda duyulan teneke sesi benim kendi yazdığım midi). Görseller henüz konsept aşamasında oyun için pre alpha mı beta mı dersiniz ben de tam emin değilim ama bazı imkanlara sahip olunca çok daha folkor kökenli bir eğlence oyunu olarak tasarlamayı düşünüyorum. Örneğin oyun içindeki bir robotun dans hareketlerini taklit ederek puan kazanmak gibi. Insta360 ile çektiğim gerçek VR Ankara mekanlarını da test amaçlı olarak kullanarak reel mekanlar ile VR arasındaki etkileşimi denemiş oldum. Reel çekim ile VR'ı birleştirme konusunda fikir veriyor. Kaşık vurma ve kaşık çallma fonksiyonunu büyük bir heyecanla yaptım ama maalesef HTC Vive'ın tepkime süresi(100-120 ms olması lazım) bu fonksiyoun düzgün çalışmasına yetmedi o yüzden öyle kaldı.
