
Unreal Engine 5 Early Access 8 billion polygon nanite Real Time Stress Test
In this test I tried to reach limit of the engine but I couldnt find it:) 10 millions polygon of mesh imported into engine as nanite mesh, the engine converted it to some kind of proxy mesh, which is unvisible in wireframe mode but existed in the scene as static mesh. Even I duplicate it tens of time and with tens of dynamic lights, the engine still work with 35-40 fps at the heaviest situation(such as when camera looking from far). Hope it will be useful for those who wonders how nanites work and how system handle.
Testing machine: i9 9990k, 32 GB Ram, Nvidia RTX 2080, windows 10
