EUC Beginners Series. Episode #4 Well I picked this up pretty quickly.
Week wrap-up:
Sunday, 7 days ago, I had tried an EUC a friend brought on the group ride and couldn't get 3 feet. My order arrived the next day I started this series showing what it is like to be a complete beginner on the EUC.
Day one was pretty much what one would expect. 1 hour of falls and getting back up, trying again. After an hour, finally got to roll under 10 mph, but the tire wobble was absolutely terrible.
Day 2 I researched the heck out of tire wobble and found out it was me being all tense and needing to chillax on the wheel. Problem solved I could hit 12-16 mph. Starts and stops still present an issue.
Day 3 Embarrassingly took the EUC to grass, fell many times and had start issues. But I can now cruise the greenways and did a "bunny slope" of an offroad hill. Things were looking good.
Day 4, well this video series is bunk. I took too quickly to the EUC and after only 50 miles, am rocking the gravel trails, dodging pedestrians by hitting the grass and doing one leg starts and rides.
My dominant leg is beat to heck though. From peddle slips to falls to crashes and failed starts. My ankle is so swollen right now the inner ball can't be seen. This is the pain of progress and scars of success.
