A timelapse of the Vinland colonization in my EUIV MEIOU and Taxes 2.5 Denmark let's play.
Vinland was the biggest colony Denmark-Norway and later Scandinavia and Greater Scandinavia had. Although it was massive it never really turned to be an extremely powerful vassal and except for small episodes they enjoyed having their peace and paying their taxes.
Point of note – I have no idea why they stopped colonizing in the second half of the 18th century. Scandinavia was going through an era of turmoil then and we weren’t able to support Vinland anymore so large territories around The Great Lakes were lost to spanish colonizators (Idefonsina) while the coast was taken over by the English and incorporated into New England.
