i've recently gotten myself motivated to bother with skilling spree for all my accounts (alpha and omega) by making a rule for myself: avoid anything but the "kill 10 NPCs - 25,000 skill points" quest.

it gets this reward grind over quickly, doesn't feel like a blur, and feels like i've taken advantage of this routine event to gain something that feels worthwhile and an accomplishment (and removes the regret of not doing them)
