EVE Plex Changes, Ship Giveaway, Play SMITE with Markee Dragon
52For the first time I went to the EVE Fanfest in Iceland. What an amazing experience. CCP put on a great show and really got everyone fired up about the future of not only EVE Online but also Valkyrie and Legion. While there I had many players walk up to me and say that they either watched my videos, were a customer or they had hunted me down, successfully killing me and they proudly display my frozen corpse in the game. Having one of the highest bounties in EVE makes me a big target. At least no one tried to collect some of that bounty in person. :)
If you play EVE and have never been to Fanfest it is something you should put on your list. If you go make sure you stay an extra few days to see some of the natural beauty in a harsh environment. Make sure you bring plenty of warm clothes. The next Fanfest will be in March 2015 and there will still be snow on the ground.
One of the things announced at the Fanfest is that ETC was being replaced by Plex. The majority of people were converting ETC into Plex anyway. So it's a logical thing to do. The only change is that now you apply the Plex to your account on the web page where it will put the Plex on your account.
There are also new package sizes for Plex. It now comes in 1x, 2x, 6x, 12x and 28x packages. All Plex is on sale right now. The bigger packages offer bigger savings. But we only have limited availability of them at the sale price. The sale lasts through Monday but it is possible that we may run out of some packages before the end of the weekend.

Last year I took a challenge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojd3cwARHok&list=PLGvKlRfYsrkbXJ3bn7vn3R5RtBcwJhKFA to see how far I could get in EVE in 30 days of play. It was incredible and I had a fantastic time doing it. Now I'm doing a challenge for SMITE that is in two parts. If you have not heard of SMITE it's a Moba that is free to play. I had played it in the first beta and played it for a bit until one night when our house was struck by lightning while live streaming it. Some computer equipment was fried and when I got up and running again I just went on to other games.
But then a few months ago Hi-Rez asked me to come up to Atlanta for their launch party and tournament. It was very exciting! I decided that I wanted to get back into the game and see how well I could really do. So now I'm working my way to level 30 playing with other noobs to the game and we are doing it live on my Twitch channel. http://www.twitch.tv/markeedragon We just started so if you have ever wanted to try SMITE or a Moba you should join us! The second part of my challenge with SMITE is to play competitively and see just how high of a rank I can get. I'm not really sure what to expect with this. But if I can start out just being better than 50% of the other players I'll be happy with that.
SMITE is a game that I am unexpectedly having a lot of fun in. The competition is really fun and it's made even better when you can play with a group of people like we are doing on the live shows. So please do consider joining us if you are a current player or if you ever wanted to try the game.
