Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse Cast: What The Actors Look Like In Real Life

With both returning voices and newcomers, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will explore the many Spider-People with a talented ensemble cast.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promises to explore the many versions of Spider-Man across the multiverse, and that wouldn’t be without the help of its expansive cast. In the highly-anticipated sequel to Into the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales will return alongside Gwen Stacy and Peter B. Parker to try and stop a threat to the Spider-People. After a run-in with the Spider-Society’s leader Miguel O’Hara, Miles and Miguel will have to put their differences aside in order to figure out a way to protect the Spider-People.

From Spider-Man Noir to Spider-Ham, Into the Spider-verse gave a preview of just how many Spider-People are out there. Along with returning voices from the first film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will see the addition of multiple newcomers in order to portray a more expansive group of colorful Spider-People.

Shameik Moore as Miles Morales/Spider-Man
Shameik Moore returns as Marvel favorite Miles Morales. After taking over the Spider-Man mantle in his universe, Into the Spider-Verse followed Miles as he grew into his new powers and role. Now more confident in himself, Across the Spider-Verse promises to expand on Miles’ hero story. Moore first gained recognition with his role in the 2015 film Dope, then went on to star in Baz Luhrmann’s musical drama The Get Down. He currently stars as Raekwon on Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Also a singer and rapper, Moore has released multiple singles as well as a studio album.

Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider
As the premiere Spider-Person in her universe, Gwen Stacy is drawn to Miles’ universe in the first film, and the two form a close friendship. Steinfeld first gained recognition for her breakthrough role in True Grit, for which she earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She’s since starred in films like Ender’s Game, The Edge of Seventeen, and the Pitch Perfect franchise. No stranger to voice acting, Steinfeld has lent her voice as Vi in Arcane. She starred in the comedy Dickinson in which she also served as executive producer. A Marvel alum, Steinfeld currently portrays Kate Bishop in the MCU after her introduction in Hawkeye.

Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man
Miles’ bumbling mentor, Peter B. Parker helped Miles grow into his hero role. Since reconciling with Mary Jane Watson at the end of Into the Spider-Verse, Peter is now married with a daughter named Mayday. Johnson is most well-known for his role as Nick Miller in the comedy New Girl, for which he earned a Critics’ Choice nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. He’s made appearances in comedies like 21 Jump Street, Neighbors, and Tag and had a supporting role in the first Jurassic World movie. Johnson co-starred in the crime series Stumptown and currently stars in the comedy series Minx.

Oscar Isaac as Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099
Teased at the end of Into the Spider-Verse, Miguel is an alternate Spider-Man from the year 2099. He is the leader of the Spider-Society, a group of Spider-People who protect the multiverse. Isaac has had a busy few years with roles in big franchises like the Star Wars trilogy, Dune, and the MCU as Moon Knight. He’s had other leading roles in Ex Machina and X-Men: Apocalypse, and played supporting roles in films like Drive and Annihilation.

Issa Rae as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman
One of the new Spider-Man variants being introduced, Jessica Drew is Spider-Woman and a member of the Spider-Society. She is one of Marvel’s most notable female heroes. Rae is an accomplished producer, producing and starring in the TV series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl and Insecure. She’s had roles in films like The Hate U Give and The Photograph and voiced the mother in Academy Award-winning short film Hair Love. Rae will portray President Barbie in the upcoming Barbie film.

Daniel Kaluuya as Hobart "Hobie" Brown / Spider-Punk
A punk rock version of Spider-Man, Spider-Punk comes from an alternate universe ruled by a totalitarian regime. Kaluuya first gained recognition for his role as Posh Kenneth in the British comedy Skins and has since gone on to guest star in popular TV series like Doctor Who and Black Mirror. A frequent collaborator with director Jordan Peele, Kaluuya has starred in both Get Out and Nope.
