Hey co-stars and welcome to this episode of Generation Films, my name is British Ben. And in one of my favorite Sci-fi franchises, Stargate, we have the terrifying enemy, the Goa’uld who look like this,

No thats a trill symbiote from Star Trek, but in the right direction they are symbiotes
Ah that’s better, cute little guy. But anyway, since they were just water based snakes essentially, they needed to possess human hosts and they regarded themselves as gods to the races they enslaved. A situation teal’c lamented about on his first solo album that we released under the name Papi Chulak.
Basically they posed as gods,

Right, all of which were known on Earth, which was the original planet that the Goa’uld kidnapped people from to become slaves and they called them Tau’ri. Which means First Ones in the Goa’uld language. So basically the idea is that all the ancient gods on Earth were actually Goa’uld snakes inside the head of possessed humans. Except for Jesus.
They didn’t go there, it’s nice to see the producers of the show didn’t choose any gods that people actually still worship. And some of these Goa’uld may still be walking the streets today.
