288Overwatch was Blizzard’s flagship multiplayer first-person shooter, which tasked players with picking a hero from a roster of 21 different Offence, Defence, Support, and Tank characters and then engaging in a bit of team-based shooty-shooty fun. Over the years, multiple changes were made to the title; the class options became just Support, Tank, and DPS, a number of different gameplay modes were launched, and perhaps most importantly (certainly for the purposes of this list, at least), several new characters were added to the already expansive roster. In 2022, Overwatch watched its last over, as its servers were shut down to make way for Overwatch 2, a game which is very similar to its predecessor but with more bells, whistles, microtransactions, and, of course, heroes to get to grips with. With nearly 40 different Overwatch heroes for players to choose from, it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. We think a good old ranking will sort this situation right out.
