This news video briefly explains all the important and noticeable changes of the upcoming State of Decay 2 Update 28. Update 28 is currently available in Open Beta for testing and the release date of Update 28 is not revealed yet.

Below are all the important changes present in Update 28.
10. Sidewalks glitch from Heartland are now fixed.
9. Heavy weapons are now designed to damage the wooden fences.
8. Containers from the buildings that are occupied by the enclaves can no longer be looted to make more sense.
7. New side quest has been added in Heartland DLC to make sure we can find all the Echo guns in a single heartland run for the achievement.
6. Our cars can now be upgraded just by having an upgrade kit in our inventory instead of the need to deposit the upgrade to the supply locker.
5. Our last used car will now be highlighted in the map and the mini map.
4. Enclaves and our outpost buildings will now have electric lights.
3. When moving maps, the map changing screen will now pause the game.
2. The areas with high zombie density will now be highlighted with dark red color.
1. Providence Ridge has received a major graphics overhaul to improve the visuals.
