Previously, it was revealed the prosecution in the Kim Potter case reduced the requested sentence for the ex-cop who shot 20-year-old Daunte Wright. Potter was convicted of first and second-degree manslaughter, and a motion was filed to give a sentence of 86 months. Now, Potter has received 24 months in prison. 
Footage surfaced showing the sentence the ex-Minnesota cop received for killing Wright, with, Potter getting a significantly shorter sentence. Despite the sentencing, Potter will only serve 16 months in prison. The remaining part of her sentence will be a supervised release. Along with that, the disgraced cop will have to pay a $1,000 fine. 
During the sentencing hearing, Daunte’s mother Katie Wright said she thought Potter was selfish following the shooting, saying the woman was only concerned with getting in touch with a union rep. Because of that, Katie Wright asked that the judge issue the maximum sentence. Watch above.
