Examining Halo's Snowy Slugfest
If there’s one level in Halo: Combat Evolved, developed by Bungie for Xbox, which handles battling the Flood better than any other, I think it’s probably Two Betrayals.
The Flood can be a very irritating adversary at the best of times, but there’s enough variety throughout the Two Betrayals, that it doesn’t suffer quite as much from some of the issues other levels surrounding it in Halo: Combat Evolved's campaign struggle at times to deal with.
On the other hand, To Betrayals is also a lengthy backwards retread of Assault on the Control Room, which was often quite repetitive at times, and it’s also fair to say that the same problems are evident in Two Betrayals and much of the rest of Halo: Combat Evolved's latter stages.
And with that being the case, I think it will be quite an interesting one to examine further.
