0Sort of an 'innocent' example from a REAL video game that I think perfectly encapsulates how and why the modern trans movement lost support, and the right wing was able to pull in mainstream support it would not have ever typically had.
Being part of a minority group means you STILL have the right to be treated with Dignity and respect and given equal rights.
It DOES NOT mean you are 'special' or 'exceptional' or deserve 'special' consideration or 'special' status or privileges.
Your just a human being. Like the rest of us. Trying to make it like another ant in this anthill we call earth.
And again...you are entitled to be treated with dignity and respect. And equal rights. You are not entitled to have society bend over to accommodate your every need, desire, and whim.
Yes. Society should try to adapt to you as best as possible. But guess what...it is ALSO your job to adapt to society.
And I am sorry to say it...because I used to be a huge supporter of the trans movement. But I think a LOT of trans (and frankly LGBT in general) have forgotten that.
I you are LGBTQ? It's your life...you do you....but word of advise: Don't make your sexual orientation YOUR IDENTITY. I think that is the core of a lot of the problem. YOU treat it far more unnatural that I do when you do that.
Anyways, again.....want to know why Trans lost the fight....this video is a....SHORT SNIPPET as to why without even getting into details.
The narrator....just...MADE SENSE to any average American. Realize now that this MICRO EXAMPLE was happening EVERYWHERE
