For those that have been following my remix journey for a looooooong time, I originally released an Excitebike remix back in February 2015, when my channel wasn't even labeled under the Player2 alias! I then re-remixed this song again in 2020 when I rebranded...and, here we are, finally fulfilling the remix this song deserves after a full decade of trial & error, haha! 😂
I originally produced this remix under the "Melbourne Bounce" genre back then when that was the fancy genre flying around in the EDM world...now that I've developed my signature "P2" style, I felt it was time my old Excitebike remix got an honest remaster!
Excitebike first released November of 1984 in Japan...yes, this game is over 40 years old!!
The main melody of this remix is the "Title BGM" or the title screen. The first drop is the "Victory Stand" melody you hear when you finish a race in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. And last but not least, the epic triplet-second drop is the "Track Select" melody you hear when selecting one of the 5 different tracks: there's 5 different colored tracks, each with two variations.
