EXO ONE - Full Playthrough (No Commentary)
Exo One is a game where you play as and control an alien hovercraft (UFO) on a mission to rescue the crew of the Jupiter Flyer mission. The game has you traversing across several different planets with unique environments to find transportation devices called "Transportation Monoliths", which allow you to lightspeed jump to the next planet. The game's controls are fairly simple: you have your usual movement and double jump, a Glide which you can use to soar through the air in which will gradually deplete your energy overtime, as well as a dive which allows you to break the sound barrier if you go steep enough. The game's soundtrack also accompanies the game and adds a comforting feeling to the game's atmosphere as you traverse across these lifelike planets, even if they are technically 'devoid' of life in the physical sense. Every planet feels, simply, real. They feel logical. Like they're actually inside space and inside of the Solar System. And it make them stand out visually. The whole game simply feels like a real world with real things living inside of it. Even if it 'is' just that: a game, it seriously knows how to make you feel like you're really there.
This game is my "comfort game", has helped me cope with tough and difficult times of my life, helped me with depression and anxiety numerous times, and might have even possibly saved my life. This game holds so much value and meaning to me and I have played it a dozen times over already if not 2 dozen. One of my family members passed away in July of 2022 and this game helped me cope with that loss and, after the end of that session in particular, all I could think about were the good times I had with him and I never let his passing get to and affect me after playing it again. This simple little game with its comforting and unique atmosphere and ambiance-like soundtrack helped me calm my nerves numerous times. It just completely blocks out all other unhappy thoughts. There is no rush, no frustration, none of that. The music implies that for sure. Exo One has truly had such a positive impact and influence on my life and I cannot recommend it enough. Whenever I play it, I am instantly put into "zen mode" and I just completely end up forgetting about the struggles of real life and the world outside. This game feels like a true "escapism" from reality for me, and to me, that means a lot. And I am very glad about it, too. I am actually emotionally attached to this game.
This is a full playthrough of the entire game, all levels. Enjoy 😊 💖
