Exodus Version 2 [PS1] Cancelled & Unseen Gameplay
**Early development footage with placeholder graphics**
The origin of Neversoft's Exodus began as an action shooter featuring a huge mech with big guns. In fact, the tentative title was Big Guns (see Museum's archive). The game was picked up by Sony and redesigned with a different look and feel to the mechs. Somewhere along development management decided to scrap the game. Hunter Luisi, one of Sony's elite game designers, suggested some incredible gameplay improvements and redesigns instead of cancelling the game. Neversoft went back to work attempting to create Hunter's vision: a Metroid-type game featuring a female character who could transform into a cat. Within a very short amount of time, the development team created a playable concept level using placeholder graphics and a female character similar to Aeon Flux & Fifth Element. The feel of the game was like Syphon Filter with Metroid style gameplay....it was sure to be an instant hit. Unfortunately management still proceeded to cancel the game.
