1This is going to be an ongoing event. The idea behind this is to ultimately see if over a period of time, the returns will be similar.
A difference of 0.5% annually over the course of 30 years on a deposit of $1,000 is a sizable amount of money.
For instance, 7% annually over 30 years on $1,000 would be about $7,600. and 7.5% annually would be about $8,700. That's over $1,100 dollar difference!
And if the annual rate is much higher - say 10% over 30 years, the future value would be about $17,500. 10.5% annually over 30 years would be about 20,000. That's a sizable difference too!
