EDIT UPDATE: ZhilkinSerg has already submitted a PR that will add a toggle in the options menu to allow players to revert to the old version of the map. I will link to that pull request below. Although I still suspect this will only be a temporary option, it will hopefully soon be available for you to play with. I had already spent several hours recording and editing this so it was a bit too late for me to redo the video and frankly I didn't want to do that extra work when I'd already planned to release it.

ANOTHER UPDATE: The PR listed below has now been merged to the game. If you update to the most recent experimental there will now be an option to disable this graphical overmap. I would encourage you to revisit it in a little while and keep an eye on your tileset as it progresses!

Now that CDDA's 0.F stable has been released people are starting to update to the newest experimental version. Development did continue in some capacity while things were frozen and so updating actually will bring a slew of new changes to your game all at once. Many of us have now updated and found the the recent changes to the map screen are, well, a bit borked. Because it's such a visible issue I've had many people ask me about it so I thought I'd make this quick video.
