Explain the causes of the Great Depression.
Following are the main causes of the Great Depression* Overproduction of agricultural products in USA - When prices declined, agricultural income also declined. Farmers expended their production to maintain their income. More agricultural production worsened the situation in the market and the prices declined further. Farm produce votted for lack of buyers.
* US Banking system collapsed - USA was the largest overseas lender but when panic created, the overseas lenders started withdrawal of loans which severely affected rest of the world. Banks slashed domestic lending and called back their il, loans. Unable to recover investments, collects loans
